In the beginning, TV programs were produced four times a week, and from 1961, daily programs began. Since 1956, television has made great progress, and today it is an integral part of our lives, life without it is unimaginable, it is the best means of providing and transmitting information. The height of the mast was 185 meters (this mast was the tallest in the USSR at the time) and the first TV broadcasts were carried out from the Mtatsminda TV studio. In 1956, the construction of a television tower on the upper plateau of Mtatsminda was completed according to the project. Georgian television has its roots since 1953, in the same year the construction of the first TV center in Tbilisi began, which was supposed to be located on the upper plateau of Mtatsminda.
